Fun and Quick Ideas to Cut Calories…

I have made it into a habit to always check the calories I am taking into my body.  I am not disciplined enough to write everything in a journal.  In the beginning of my journey that lasted for a while but now I keep a mental record.  I don’t necessarily add them through the day but rather just control my intake at each meal.

Simple changes in daily habits add up to a great amount of reduction in the number of calories you consume.  Every day you must decide to replace a high calorie habit with one that is lower in calories.

For instance if you are in a habit of having sodas three times a day, replace one of those sodas with water.  Try it consistently for two weeks. You will be amazed at how many calories you will reduce from your daily habits.  By the way, that is how I began reducing my coffee intake.  I saw a great difference!

When you do desire the Starbucks, coffee try the Iced Skinny Vanilla Latte with skim milk.Memorial Day - 2008 023  A great snack at 90 calories!

You can also begin by leaving mayonnaise out of your sandwiches.  Try a little mustard instead.  If you need the mayonnaise, especially when you eat out, tell them to put it lightly.  When it comes to ketchup try to be careful how much you use.  Ketchup is very high in calories.

Sometimes we don’t realize how many calories are in the condiments we put on our foods.  One trick I learned to use at dinner was  sprinkling cayenne pepper on your food.  Cayenne pepper will help you start feeling full and suppress your hunger.  It is amazing!

Another trick would be to sprinkle lemon juice on your salads.  It is tasty and burns a little of the fat you have consumed during the day.

Amigas, all this doesn’t mean anything if you haven’t picked your exercise routine.Last Sunday and Hike Pics II 141  Try walking, running in place, swimming or aerobics at home!  Just move, move, move for 10 minutes at a time.  It always helps to put some upbeat praise music on the radio!

Carman, FFH, Dc Talk, and some others will inspire you and keep your body and mind working!  Give it a try!

Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.”

  1. Your a lovely inspiration to all of us, be blessed.

  2. Another great idea that my mother always encouraged was having a large glass of water or ice tea with lime or lemon before each meal… Fills you up a bit.

Thanks so much for all the great ideas. Have a God-filled Day!
