Reminders….

Hola, Amigas!  I read an article recently that helped support what I have been writing about so passionately this past year: 

“In my early and late teens I would try diets and diet pills trying just to loose ten or so pounds.  They would work for a short time but then, as fast as I lost the weight I would put it back on!  The problem? I simply love food and didn’t want to discipline myself… I love food!” 

Once we admit this real truth, we will begin having success in each of our weight journey programs.

My mom and I enjoying coffee together! (April 19, 2008) Wow!  I had to get that off my chest.  You might question at this point, “how can that be?”  The truth is during this amazing journey, I have finally realized what my eating patterns were. Yes, I love my Hazelnut creamer with my coffee but, it is boils down to simply how much of it I use.

I also discovered that I preferred brown rice over white rice with my Chinese chicken string beans.  Of course, I love steamed broccoli, zucchini, and squash without butter too!  As for pancakes, a bite is enough.  I prefer my savory eggs.

It took me years, but I’ve finally become the woman who can eat whatever she wants - with discipline.

You are probably thinking at this point that I must of lost all my sanity.  Really, amigas? I haven’t! :) Rather, I have learned how much, when and what to eat - and constantly drink water and continue exercising too!

Try this tip out:  run or move very fast in place for eight seconds at a time and then, simply go back to what you were doing previously. The casual observer might think you are a little “nuts” but, it really works toward burning calories throughout the day!Try it!

In Acts 2:46 it says, “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.”
