Emotions

Psalms 103:20 “Bless the Lord, you His angels who excel in strength who do His Word; heeding the voice of His word.”

Hola, Amigas! This week is a week of mixed emotions as I say good-bye to my dearest and best friend, my husband.

He will be leaving Saturday, Lord willing, on a missionary journey on the Appalachian Trail. He will be hiking 2,175 miles on behalf of Fathers and more importantly – sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Concerning weight-loss and change in the outlook on food; he will be drastically changing everything… his eating habits as well as his drinking habits.

My husband begins at Mt. Katahdin. His exercise routine will also change because he will be averaging 15 miles a day and sometimes more (summiting more than 157 mountains).

Why do I bring this up? To encourage those who just read about “weight loss’ and say they will “…begin tomorrow.”

Amigas, it is never too late to start. Now is the time!

You don’t have to hike the A.T. (Appalachian Trail) to get results but you do have to actually change something!

He will be greatly missed! One thing I can say as his wife is that I am very proud of him and his efforts! He is a great husband, father, and friend to me and all our kids!

Last Sunday and Hike Pics II 158This unforgettable journey in sharing Christ with all those who are lost will be amazing.

I know he will come back a changed man. Spiritually, physically, and mentally. This hike will allow him to loose 50 lbs or more too!

I will be sharing his progress with you, amigas, from time to time!

“Honey, we are all rooting for you, my dearest!”
