“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
Isn’t it great to know that our Savior’s mercies are new every morning? Well, amigas, always remember that every morning is a new beginning in our journey.
This week has been full of excitement as I rush around preparing for one of my daughter’s weddings. In that hectic schedule, we still made time to go to the gym together!
So, while I am remembering the last few times I will be spending with her – I want to just give you a few tips that are very helpful to me in my weight loss journey. I can vouch for these and encourage you to follow them if you are serious about your journey too!
1. Lose weight with water. Did you know that water is a natural appetite suppressant?
2. Soup up your weight loss program. When possible try homemade soups. When you don’t have the time just try the Progresso soups. Watch out for the cream base ones!
3. Eat early to keep weight off. You have more energy through out the day if you eat your biggest meal in the morning!
4. Eat smaller meals, more frequently. I know it sounds ridiculous but try it and you will be surprised!
5. Try a balanced approach to your diet. If you don’t want the “yo-yo” effect – change your outlook of food. Include more greens, such as broccoli, spinach, and asparagus. Eliminate all sodas including your diet ones! Remember, tip number 1.
6. Walk off the weight! All of these tips won’t do you any good if you don’t add some activity to your new lifestyle! Exercise in conjunction with your weight loss journey is a lifestyle! (I recently read that while exercising take several 8 seconds fast runs or speed up your “cardio” and you will see a difference in your results.)
I hope these ideas help, amigas! Keep it up and don’t forget every morning is another opportunity to thank the Lord for your ability to do what is right and honor Him at the same time!
Happy journey!
Hasta luego,
Elaine

Water… that really does work. Drinking lots of water fills the tummy. Thank you for your tips.
