Staying in Shape…

03-20-2008 11;01;51PMHola, amigas!  What a hectic week I had!  Great week with much joy and happiness!  During the week I was able to squeeze in two days of great exercise.  How did you do this week? Remember! The key word is “consistency.”

Ladies, have you thought about what happens when we ignore our spiritual workout in addition to the physical workout?  We tend to loose focus and our attitudes stink!  At least, I must admit this… how  about  you?

This week, remember to excercise spiritually and physically. This can still be accomplished even if your time is very hectic.  This question remains. Are we committed or not.  Again, the key word is “consistency.”

Did you know it is far easier to stay in shape than to get in shape?  Trust me. I remember that difficult journey all to well!

“For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.” I Timothy 4:8

FH000017I was working out at the gym this week and a lady approached me. She told me that she thought I was “always” in great shape.  I said, “Thank you!” and began chuckling with her.  I shared my journey living healthy and the many struggles I experienced at the beginning. I exhorted her to “press on!” She thanked me and moved on to her routine.

You see amigas, it remains a very easy thing to fall into complacency on your personal journey.  By remaining steadfast and consistent day in and day out, we all avoid being entrapped and discouraged by holiday, party, or dinner feast.

I want to leave this quote with you…

“To take up the cross of Christ is no great action done once for all; it consists in the continual practice of small duties which are distasteful to us.”  John Henry Newman

Hasta Luego Amigas!

  3. You are so right- consistency is the key. Isn’t it neat when someone you dont know comes to you and tells you they think you always look in shape! You never know who you are influencing!
